Kuwait Suspends Licenses of Six Doctors, Including Former Minister, for Serious Violations
In a decisive move, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, the Minister of Health in Kuwait, has suspended the professional licenses of six Kuwaiti doctors, one of whom is a former minister, due to serious violations. These violations include involvement in the illicit trade of the prescription medication Lyrica and operating medical facilities without the necessary licenses. These actions not only raise concerns about medical professionalism but also pose significant risks to public health. Additionally, Minister Al-Awadi has imposed financial penalties on 20 prominent companies that were found to be in violation of contracts with the Ministry of Health following a thorough review and audit process.
