Abu Dhabi Airports has unveiled plans for the development of a major new free zone. The Abu Dhabi Airport Free Zone (ADAFZ) project will include the construction of multiple Light Industrial Units (LIUs), currently in the master planning phase. These units, covering an area of 200,000 square feet in the Southside Logistics area adjacent to the cargo terminal, are designed to meet the growing demand from small to medium-sized businesses. The LIUs are ideal for light manufacturing assembly, freight forwarding logistics, technology, consumer retail, and airport support services. The development is set to align with the needs of the business community by providing a low-cost entry point and scalability.
