Kuwait introduce 5-years and 15-years visa for foreigners.

Local media reported that the Kuwaiti government plans to make several amendments to the laws governing residence visas for foreigners living in the country. Reliable sources also said that a referendum will be held during the next parliamentary session on the implementation of this new law for foreigners.
According to the new proposal, a foreigner will be granted a residence permit for a period not exceeding five years. Also, investors will be granted residence permits for up to 15 years based on their activities. The amended law also states that fees will be levied in order for Kuwait to benefit from these investments.
Sources said the plan also includes granting 10-year residency permits to children of Kuwaiti women. If a person who owns property in Kuwait comes to Kuwait before the end of the six-month period, they will be granted a Kuwaiti residence permit. However, it is said that Kuwaiti women will be exempted from this rule.
In addition, the revised laws on residence visas state that domestic workers will be allowed to travel outside Kuwait for only four months, after which their residency permit will be automatically revoked. However, it is said that these will come into effect only after formal approval by the government.
It has been reported that these new amended laws of the Government of Kuwait will be taken as an emergency inquiry and before being recommended to the National Assembly, the proposal discussion will be held in the cabinet and then submitted for the approval of the cabinet.
Also, before the start of the next session which will be held at the end of October, the amendment will be accepted by the cabinet in the current summer session and then recommended to the National Assembly, it is also noted by ministry sources.
