Salalah Port Welcomes Cruise Ship with Over 2,800 Passengers, Boosting Oman’s Tourism Appeal

Salalah Port in Oman marked the arrival of a cruise ship carrying a total of 2,885 passengers, out of which 1,932 were tourists. This cruise ship, as part of a broader tourism program spanning various global ports, had departed from the Egyptian port of Safaga and was on its way to the city of Colombo. The passengers’ itinerary was carefully planned to encompass visits to some of the most notable archaeological, tourist, and historical landmarks for which the Dhofar Governorate is renowned. Additionally, the cruise included explorations of the scenic beaches and traditional markets in the city of Salalah.

Oman, strategically positioned overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Sea of Oman, has become a regular destination for several cruise ships each year. The country’s maritime location, combined with its rich cultural and natural attractions, contributes significantly to its growing tourism sector.
