Salalah Port Welcomes Cruise Ship Carrying Thousands of Tourists
Salalah Port in Oman received a cruise ship on November 5, 2023, bringing 2,340 passengers, including 1,566 tourists, as part of its global tourism program. Departing from the Egyptian port of Safaga, the ship is en route to Victoria, Seychelles, with a stopover in Dhofar Governorate. The visitors will explore the region’s rich archaeological, historical, and tourist sites, along with enjoying the beaches and traditional markets of Salalah. Oman’s strategic maritime position along the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, and Sea of Oman continues to attract numerous cruise ships annually.
