Red Sea Global Unveils Luxury Hotel Brand “Shebara” at The Red Sea and Amaala Development
Red Sea Global (RSG), a prominent multi-project developer, has revealed its exclusive luxury hotel brand, “Shebara.” Set to open in the summer of 2024, this unique resort will be located on Sheybarah Island within The Red Sea and Amaala development. With 73 keys, Shebara stands as the first property to be both owned and operated by RSG in this Red Sea destination.
John Pagano, Group CEO of RSG, emphasized, “Shebara showcases the very best in Saudi hospitality while setting new standards in responsible development and sustainable operations.” The resort joins a distinguished list of international hospitality brands operating at The Red Sea, including St. Regis, Ritz Carlton Reserve, and Six Senses.
Additionally, RSG is also developing Thuwal Private Retreat, an island destination entirely owned and operated by the company. Shebara offers an incredible natural environment, including a 30 to 40-meter reef drop-off close to the beach, making it ideal for ocean exploration. Accessible by a 45-minute boat ride or a 20-minute seaplane journey from the mainland, the resort features overwater and beach villas.
This announcement aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious tourism goals, aiming to attract up to 150 million visitors annually by 2030. The Red Sea and Amaala development is part of this broader initiative, with 50 resorts, 8,000 hotel rooms, and over 1,000 residential properties planned across 22 islands and six inland sites upon completion in 2030.
