Major Drug Bust: Kuwaiti Officials Seize Narcotics Smuggled by Sea

Two people who were trying to smuggle narcotics into Kuwait from the sea were detained by Kuwaiti officials along with a large amount of drugs.One million captagon tablets, 500 grams of methamphetamine, and 400 kilograms of hashish were all taken from a boat, the Ministry of Interior claimed in a statement posted on social media. Also taken from the boat were a gun and some ammo.

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration for Narcotics Control, along with the General Administration of the Coast Guard, were able to thwart an attempt by two people to bring in about 400 kilograms of hashish, one million Captagon pills, and half a kilogram of Shabu (methamphetamine) by sea, according to the statement. This was done as part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to arrest drug dealers and smugglers.

Two people who were allegedly smuggling the narcotics by water were detected through increased search, investigation, monitoring, and follow-up activities by the General Administration of Narcotics Control of drug traffickers and smugglers. The police arrested and searched the yacht after coordinating with the Coast Guard’s General Administration and keeping an eye on it using radar. Inside the yacht were both the drug cache and the gun. The accused and the illegal items found were referred to the appropriate authorities for the required legal actions.
