The earthquake that occurred southwest of Marrakesh and caused hundreds of fatalities and injuries was mourned by the UAE, which also sent its sympathies and support to the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) issued a statement in which it offered its deepest sympathies to the Moroccan government, people, and relatives of the victims of this tragedy. It also wished all those injured a swift recovery.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as well as His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has expressed his sympathies to Morocco in the wake of the catastrophic earthquake that struck the country.
