UAE evacuates 127 critically injured patients and families from Gaza

Comprehensive humanitarian efforts by the UAE provide evacuations, advanced healthcare, and essential aid to Palestinian

UAE Conducts 23rd Evacuation Flight to Aid Gaza’s Critically Injured

The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday (local time) conducted its 23rd evacuation flight in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) as part of a humanitarian effort to evacuate 55 critically injured people and patients – including children and cancer patients – from the Gaza Strip. Patients requiring comprehensive treatment – from Ramon Airport in Israel, via the Karam Abu Salam Crossing, to receive medical treatment in hospitals in the country, accompanied by 72 family members.

In October 2023, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, announced plans to treat 1,000 children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip in UAE hospitals, including the evacuation of injured Palestinians and cancer patients. 2,254 patients and their families have already reached the United Arab Emirates.

This action confirms the UAE’s strong commitment to supporting the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and highlights the critical need for humanitarian intervention to save lives. Through its numerous messages, the UAE continues to back humanitarian initiatives aimed at helping the Gazan people and lending a hand during their time of need.

The UAE has made strong efforts to provide advanced healthcare to sick and seriously injured Palestinians. Since it began operating on December 2, 2023, the UAE Field Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip has treated 50,489 cases. Furthermore, since its launch in February 2024, the floating hospital ship anchored in Al-Arish Port has treated 8,597 cases so far.

Notably, the UAE has provided approximately 50,000 tons of emergency aid, including food, medicine and relief supplies, to the brotherly Palestinian people.
