UAE Football Matches Postponed Due to Adverse Weather Conditions
The Football Association of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made the official announcement that all matches slated for Tuesday in “local competitions” have been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing across the region. This decision, affecting various fixtures including those in the Adnoc Pro League, comes as a response to the challenging weather circumstances that have swept through the UAE.
Among the matches affected are the highly anticipated clashes between Al Jazira and Khorfakkan, as well as Ajman and Al Bataeh. Unfortunately, no specific details regarding the rescheduling of these fixtures have been released, leaving fans and teams alike in a state of uncertainty about when these matches will take place.
However, amidst this disruption, there is a glimmer of continuity as the Asian Champions League semi-final first leg between Al Ain and Al Hilal, scheduled to be held at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, remains unaffected by the weather-induced postponements.
The inclement weather, characterized by torrential rain and thunderstorms, has led to the issuance of weather warnings across the UAE. The National Centre of Meteorology has forewarned of further bouts of rainfall, thunder, and even hail throughout the evening, with wind speeds anticipated to peak at a staggering 70 kilometers per hour.
As the storms rage on, residents and authorities alike are bracing themselves for the impact, with hopes pinned on a gradual easing of conditions as Wednesday approaches. Despite the disruption caused by the adverse weather, there is a collective optimism that the situation will improve in the coming days, offering respite from the relentless onslaught of nature’s fury.
