UAE Backs PKK Disbandment as Step Toward Regional Peace

The United Arab Emirates has said it strongly supports the recent decision by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) to disband and lay down its arms, which it sees as a positive step towards promoting regional peace and stability.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) praised the move in a formal statement, stressing how it can significantly advance initiatives to end violence and advance long-term regional stability. The Ministry emphasized that a development of this kind opens the door to a future based on communication, collaboration, and shared wealth.

Reaffirming its stance, the UAE conveyed full solidarity with the Republic of Türkiye and reiterated its support for initiatives that aim to create a peaceful and secure environment conducive to sustainable development and regional cooperation.
