Al Ain Book Festival Celebrates Literary and Cultural Heritage

The 14th Al Ain Book Festival, inaugurated by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), is set to captivate audiences until November 25 under the theme ‘All Eyes on Al Ain’. With a focus on promoting knowledge among diverse community segments, the festival features over 400 events, specialized programs, and more than 60,000 book titles presented by 150 exhibitors.

Taking place across nine prominent cultural sites in Al Ain City, the festival aims to celebrate books, the arts, and literary creativity while promoting a culture of reading. With a rich and diverse program, the festival offers interactive activities designed to engage the community, especially the youth, with the authentic Emirati cultural heritage.

Al Ain Square – Hazza bin Zayed Stadium serves as the main venue, hosting educational and recreational activities for children and youth, alongside sessions for talented young participants. The festival also celebrates leading poets from Al Ain, known for their popular sung poems, dedicating a program to their legacy. Daily poetry evenings highlight the contributions of these celebrated poets locally and regionally.

The festival’s cultural and artistic program extends to various locations, including Al Ain Square, Qasr Al Muwaiji, Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa, Zayed Central Library, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Al Qattara Arts Centre, Al Ain Mall, Barari Mall, and Al Foah Mall. The event aims to position Al Ain City as a prominent destination for cultural events, appealing to all age groups and fostering a love for literature and the arts.

In its 14th edition, the Al Ain Book Festival showcases the rich literary and cultural heritage of the UAE, offering a platform for diverse voices and celebrating the unique history of Al Ain City.
