In a commendable humanitarian gesture, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the wife of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF) to provide urgent aid amounting to Dh30 million to support the war-torn Gaza region.
As the chairperson of TBHF and a prominent advocate for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Sheikha Jawaher affirmed the unwavering commitment of the UAE and Sharjah to extend support and assistance to the Palestinian community. She emphasized that this dedication to the Palestinian cause has been an integral principle since the inception of TBHF, which initiated with the ‘Salam Ya Seghar’ campaign in 2009, leading to the establishment of the Palestine Fund.
Sheikha Jawaher highlighted the pressing challenges faced by the Palestinian people and emphasized the urgency of addressing them promptly. She stated that every form of assistance, regardless of its scale, possesses the potential to bring about transformative change in lives.
