In this scam, fraudulent job announcements are sent via SMS to lure victims into carrying out specific online businesses with the promise of financial profits. Once victims transfer money to their bank accounts, the scammers redirect the funds to other offshore accounts through exchange companies. The Royal Oman Police is urging citizens and residents to verify the authenticity of job announcements and report any suspicions to the authorities.
