Riyadh Air to Conduct Recruitment Drive in Dubai for 2025 Launch

Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new carrier set to commence operations in mid-2025, will conduct a recruitment drive in Dubai to hire hundreds of employees across various positions. The airline, launched by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund (PIF), plans to recruit cabin crew, pilots, engineers, maintenance staff, and corporate positions. Riyadh Air aims to recruit 300 cabin crew by the end of 2024, with the first hires expected to commence in the first quarter of 2024. The carrier, which held a recruitment roadshow in London in October, will participate in the Dubai Airshow, where it is expected to announce a significant aircraft order.

Riyadh Air is on track to launch in mid-2025, operating routes regionally and internationally, with plans to serve over 100 destinations by 2030. The airline anticipates contributing to Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and job creation, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030. Peter Bellew, the Chief Operating Officer of Riyadh Air, highlighted the airline’s commitment to building a diverse team, with over 900,000 applications received since its launch announcement.

The carrier’s participation in the Dubai Airshow is expected to include the unveiling of its second livery and the announcement of a significant aircraft order, with sources suggesting a potential order for 100 Boeing 737 Max planes. Riyadh Air will also showcase a partnership with luxury electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Group, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable transportation.
