Dubai Police Introduces ‘On-the-Go’ Services at Petrol Stations

Dubai’s latest initiative aims to make life significantly easier for motorists by providing critical police services directly at petrol stations. Dubai Police has partnered with leading fuel suppliers Enoc, Adnoc and Emarat to provide drivers with a range of convenient services when they refuel their cars.. The new service, called the ‘On-the-Go’ initiative, is designed to reduce the time and cost associated with traditional police services, bringing essential functions closer to where they are most needed.

The ‘On-the-Go’ initiative allows motorists to access six key police services without having to leave the petrol station. Among these services are:

Minor traffic accident reporting: Drivers who are engaged in minor crashes can now report them right away at the gas station, saving them from having to make further journeys to the police station.

Accident reporting involving unknown parties: The service provides a rapid and simple way to record occurrences in which the other party is not identifiable.

Lost and found services: Drivers can use this service to report lost things immediately, ensuring that they are handled as quickly as possible.

Vehicle repairs: Small auto repairs can be booked at the petrol station to save time waiting for a garage appointment.

The Police Eye program enables citizens to notify the police immediately of crises or suspicious activity, guaranteeing a prompt response.

E-Crime service: Motorists can report cybercrimes or online fraud, allowing the police to act quickly on digital threats.

The success of this initiative lies in its ability to cut down service times drastically. Addressing a problem that used to take up to 24 hours can now be finished in two minutes. Additionally, the program has cut expenses, lowering service fees from Dh1,927 to Dh420.

Capt. Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, who leads the “On-the-Go” team, commended the initiative’s effectiveness and pointed out the noteworthy change in service delivery. Additionally, he highlighted the project’s significant contributions to local, regional, and global process efficiency and customer journey improvement.

The “On-The-Go” campaign is not only a significant improvement in customer service; it is also part of Dubai’s broader plan to maintain its position as a world leader in innovation and public safety. By providing essential services at petrol stations, Dubai Police has improved the overall experience of receiving police services, while making it easier for drivers to manage their daily responsibilities. This partnership between the police and petrol providers is revolutionary, combining efficiency, convenience and innovation for the benefit of all drivers in Dubai.
