The Sultanate of Oman is bracing itself for a surge in temperatures, with forecasts indicating that the mercury may soar into the mid-40s over the next few days, according to an announcement by Oman Meteorology on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

The statement read, “Anticipate a relative increase in temperatures, ranging from early to mid forties, along the coastal regions of the Sea of Oman and the deserts of South Al Sharqiyah tomorrow. Subsequently, mountainous areas in the governorates of South Al Batinah and Muscat are expected to experience heightened temperatures on Friday. This trend is projected to persist in the desert areas over the next three days.”
