Oman Actively Engages in Arab Forum on Disabilities for 2023-2032

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, is actively participating in a high-level forum in Tunisia focused on “Implementing the Second Arab Decade for Persons with Disabilities 2023-2032”. This forum, organized in collaboration with the Tunisian Ministry of Social Affairs and the Secretariat General of the Arab League, is a significant step towards enhancing support and inclusivity for individuals with disabilities.
Running until the 5th of October, the event has been convened in response to a resolution passed during the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs.
In addition to the formal proceedings, the forum offers a valuable platform for participating delegations to gain insights into Tunisia’s pioneering initiatives aimed at serving and integrating individuals with disabilities into society. Of particular focus will be efforts directed at providing economic empowerment for this segment of the population.
The Sultanate of Oman’s active engagement in this forum reaffirms its commitment to advancing the rights and opportunities of persons with disabilities, in alignment with international standards and best practices.
