Ministry Takes Action: Stationery Stores Shut for Unjustified Price Rises

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has undertaken a campaign to curb the increase in prices of school supplies, leading to the closure of numerous stationery stores across the country. Violations uncovered during the campaign range from failing to disclose the country of origin for products to issues concerning product quality and unjustified price hikes.

The ministry has emphasized that this campaign will persist nationwide, and those found in violation of pricing regulations will face penalties, including shop closures and substantial fines. Residents and citizens have been encouraged to report any instances of violations or fraudulent activities to the ministry for further action. This move aims to ensure that school supplies remain accessible and reasonably priced for students and their families.
