Tanishpreet Singh, an eleventh-grade student from Ludhiana district in Punjab, has transformed waste materials into remarkable flying machines. With a keen interest in technology from a young age, Tanishpreet’s hobby of building planes gained momentum, eventually leading him to compete at the national level.
Tanishpreet’s journey began in the sixth grade, inspired by videos he watched online. Although some of his initial attempts were unsuccessful, he persisted and, by the ninth grade, he successfully created a plane that took flight, instilling confidence in his abilities.
Acknowledging the guidance of his mentor, Yadminder, from Bathinda, Tanishpreet shared, “Initially, I made planes using cardboard, but today I can produce planes from waste.” He explained that he orders motor parts online and even attempts to create some himself.
Expressing his aspirations, Tanishpreet stated, “I want to study aeronautics further.”
Tanishpreet’s mother, Sukhwinder Kaur Jassal, who also works in a boutique, shares her son’s passion for design and has contributed to crafting some of his planes. She proudly accompanies him to competitions and affirms her unwavering support for his future endeavors.
