Helicopter Owned by Aerogulf Involved in Accident; Search for Crew Underway

Two pilots—an Egyptian and a South African—were flying the helicopter, which has the registration number A6-ALD, during a nighttime training mission.

Just after departure from Al Maktoum International Airport on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at about 8:30 p.m., the event took place.Search and rescue workers have successfully retrieved the helicopter’s wreckage, according to a statement from the sector released by WAM.

To find the missing crew members, the search effort is still going on. In order to quickly start their investigation into the occurrence, the air accident investigation team was sent to the crash scene.
