Dubai is set to host the UAE’s inaugural high-speed electric scooter race, named the Dubai Electric Scooter Cup. Organized by the Federation for Micromobility and Sport in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, the event is a significant showcase for e-scooter racing and micromobility potential. Taking place on December 16, the race will feature the world’s top male and female riders competing on the fastest electric scooters at speeds exceeding 100kmph. The specially designed RS-Zero DXB edition, capable of speeds over 140kmph, will be used for this event. This race aims to celebrate sustainability, new mobility, safety, and inclusivity, reflecting the focus on these themes during the Year of Sustainability in the UAE. The Federation for Micromobility and Sport is at the forefront of promoting micromobility as an exciting form of racing and a more sustainable urban mobility option. The collaboration with the Sports Council for this event aims to lead advancements in safety, infrastructure, and technology within the rapidly growing micromobility sector.
