Flydubai Airlines Connect Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia
Flydubai Airlines is set to introduce a daily service to Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia, becoming the first budget carrier to connect these popular destinations with the UAE and the Middle East. Starting from February 10, 2024, flights will operate to Penang International Airport (PEN) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK). The route to Langkawi will include a short stop in Penang, providing convenient travel options via Dubai’s aviation hub for passengers from the UAE and the region.
Flydubai will utilize its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for these routes, featuring lie-flat seats in Business Class and providing a comfortable travel experience in Economy Class. With this expansion, flydubai extends its presence in Southeast Asia, adding to its operations in Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand.
Both Langkawi and Penang offer a wide range of experiences, catering to beach enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and food lovers alike, making them sought-after destinations for tourists exploring Southeast Asia.
Langkawi is celebrated for its pristine beaches and lush rainforests, offering activities like island hopping, cable car rides to the Sky Bridge, and exploration of the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park. Penang, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Orient,” boasts a rich cultural heritage, blending Chinese, Malay, Indian, and British influences. Its UNESCO-listed George Town is famous for its historic architecture, vibrant street art, and delectable street food.
