Expo City Dubai Launches Region’s First AI Film Festival to Celebrate Creativity and Technology
The region’s first Artificial Intelligence Film Festival (AIFF), which will examine the potential of AI technology to enhance creative storytelling and advance the filmmaking landscape, has been launched by Expo City Dubai, a leader in technological advancements and elevating its position as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation hub.
The hybrid AIFF, hosted by Expo City Dubai and featuring a dedicated website to let virtual visitors explore the festival remotely, will be the region’s premier event to celebrate and advance the fusion of cinema and AI, highlighting the mutually beneficial relationship between human creativity and technology. It identifies Expo City Dubai as the center of AI innovation, a community with an eye toward the future, and a worldwide platform for cooperation on important concepts.
AIFF will cover nearly six months of exciting experiences, including a global competition, cutting-edge movie screenings, lively panel discussions with renowned AI experts and filmmakers, and practical workshops providing insights into AI integration in film production – all showcasing how AI can be used to improve the filmmaking process.
Professional and amateur film makers from all around the world are welcome to enter the competition by submitting a short film that features AI-generated content on Tuesday. On February 29, 2024, there will be a presentation of the winning entries.
