Etihad Airways Set to Resume Daily Flights to Nairobi, Strengthening UAE-East Africa Connections
Etihad Airways has announced the resumption of flights to East Africa, with daily services from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi scheduled to commence on May 1, 2024. This new route not only strengthens Etihad’s global network but also nurtures vital cultural and economic connections between the UAE and Kenya.
The airline will operate daily flights to Nairobi using the Airbus A320, offering both business and economy class cabins. The reestablished flights will reinstate commercial, non-stop passenger links between the two cities. Travelers from Kenya will also have access to Etihad’s extensive network, facilitating connections to the GCC, the US, Europe, India, and Southeast Asia.
This renewed air link is poised to foster cross-business and trade opportunities between the UAE and the burgeoning Kenyan economy, benefiting both nations. Etihad’s Chief Executive Officer, Antonoaldo Neves, expressed excitement about re-establishing this crucial connection and looked forward to welcoming guests from Kenya to Etihad’s global network.
