Dubai Recognized Among Top Five Most Affordable Cities Worldwide for Expat Housing
Dubai has achieved another global recognition by being listed among the top five most affordable cities globally for expat housing. The ranking, provided by Colife, a global rental service, places Dubai alongside Oslo, Berlin, Barcelona, and Lisbon as the most affordable cities for expatriates. Lisbon secured the top spot in the list.
The ranking takes into account various factors, including changes in the real estate markets of cities with an attractive business environment for expats. Additionally, global studies such as the Ease of Doing Business Index by the World Bank, the Global Startup Ecosystem Index Report by StartupBlink, and the Worldwide Work-Life Balance Index by Forbes Advisor were considered.
This recognition is particularly significant in the context of the growing trend of digital nomadism, where remote workers travel and work simultaneously, choosing destinations worldwide. With over 35 million people estimated to be working remotely and travelling globally, this trend has influenced policies and decision-making in various countries. The UAE, including Dubai, has responded by offering special long-term residency visa programs and amending migration laws to attract remote workers and digital nomads.
