A Historic Win: Bahrain 1 Racing Shines in NHRA Pro Mod Event

The FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series race, which was powered by ProCharger, was the eighth of ten competitions in 2023. On the category’s Road to the Championship, it served as the second race.

The reigning world champion Kris Thorne overcame Justin Bond to win the biggest drag race in history at this weekend’s 69th Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

It was the eighth of 10 events in 2023 when the FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series race, presented by ProCharger, took place. It was race number two in the category’s Road to the Championship.

With victories against Jerico Balduf, Rickie Smith, and Stan Shelton, Thorne moves on to the championship round, while Bond also advances after triumphs over Mason Wright, Billy Banaka, and Mike Castellana. Thorne is 12-points ahead of Bond with two races yet to play in the season. Compared to the current world champion, Jason Lee is 49 points behind.

At World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis, the FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series will resume competition from September 29 to October 1.
