Sibling Strength: Tia and Rio of Team Angel Wolf Break Triathlon Record
Tia and Rio, two siblings who are part of the Team Angel Wolf family from Dubai, have broken a record and accomplished an amazing achievement.
The two of them have established the benchmark for the “fastest time to complete an Olympic distance triathlon while carrying another person.”
Rio, 20, is a strong-willed individual, but his 16-year-old sister Tia, who accompanied him in this multisport race, credits the latter’s support with a big part of their success.
When the going became rough, Tia said, she could hear Rio singing the oddest tunes while cheering and yelling encouragement to keep going. Run, Run, Run. It simply improved everything 100 times over.
Tia completed the race by swimming 1.5 kilometers with Rio being pulled in a boat, riding 50 kilometers on a specially constructed cycle with Rio sitting in the front, and then running 10 kilometers with Rio being pushed in a running chair.
