Abu Dhabi: UAE welcomes India-Pakistan ceasefire
UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the ceasefire will help ensure security and stability in the region.
He added that good relations between countries require diplomatic talks. He also praised US President Donald Trump for his intervention in the issue.
India and Pakistan have agreed to stop all military activities at sea, in the air and on land. The Indian government has also instructed the Army, Navy and Air Force to abide by this agreement.

At 3.35 pm on Saturday, Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) spoke to India’s DGMO over the phone and agreed to a complete ceasefire by land, air and sea, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said in a press conference.
