UAE Sends 12th Aircraft with 40 Tonnes of Relief Aid to Lebanon

UAE Dispatches 12th Plane with 40 Tons of Vital Aid to Lebanon
The United Arab Emirates has deployed another plane to Lebanon, this time carrying 40 tons of vital relief supplies, such as food, medicine, shelter equipment, and other necessities. This shipment is the 12th aircraft to be sent to Lebanon as part of the ongoing “UAE stands with Lebanon” campaign, which seeks to give the nation immediate humanitarian aid in the face of its continuous challenges.
The two-week campaign, which began on 8th October, was launched under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It has been closely followed up by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and is supervised by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chair of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council. This high-level involvement underscores the UAE’s commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by the Lebanese people during these difficult times.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organisations and Member of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, highlighted that this 12th aircraft was part of the UAE’s ongoing relief air bridge. This initiative aims to assist those in Lebanon who are suffering from widespread displacement and the lack of essential resources. The air bridge is a coordinated effort to ensure that Lebanon receives consistent and substantial aid to help the country navigate through its crisis.
Al Shamsi also emphasized the UAE’s deep commitment to restoring Lebanon’s security and stability as quickly as possible. He pointed out the significant humanitarian role played by the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council in providing immediate responses to crises across the world
. In addition to their rapid response, the UAE’s aid efforts focus on long-term stability and recovery, with the goal of helping Lebanon regain its footing.
Moreover, he noted that Emirati donor institutions and charitable associations will continue their vital support to the Lebanese people until the country’s difficult period comes to an end. This pledge highlights the UAE’s long-term dedication to humanitarian work, ensuring that its efforts in Lebanon will not only address immediate needs but also contribute to the country’s eventual recovery and resilience.
The UAE’s efforts to support Lebanon are consistent with its broader foreign policy goals, which include promoting peace, stability, and humanitarian help in places impacted by disasters or conflict. This endeavor is being provided by the United Arab Emirates, which has often been in the forefront of international humanitarian operations, as part of a larger framework of international assistance.
