UAE Residents Experience Unstable Weather with Rainfall Across Emirates
Over the weekend, UAE residents experienced a shift to cooler, cloudy weather, followed by substantial rainfall in various regions. Heavy showers were observed in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and other emirates, prompting the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) to issue orange and yellow alerts, cautioning residents about the unstable weather conditions until 8.30pm. As the alerts encompassed most parts of the country, the public is advised to exercise extra caution when venturing outdoors.
The Abu Dhabi Police also issued a warning, urging drivers to navigate roads safely and to avoid wadis, streams, or any bodies of water. Venturing into flooded valleys, regardless of the perceived danger, is considered a violation, and offenders may face a fine of Dh2,000, 23 black points, and a 60-day vehicle confiscation.
