UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Arrives in Kuwait for State Visit with High-Level Delegation
KUWAIT CITY, Nov. 10: As part of an important state visit, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan landed in Kuwait Sunday morning, a chance to strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two countries. A high-ranking delegation made up of well-known Emirati officials followed him.
Her Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, welcomed Sheikh Mohamed warmly when he landed at Kuwait’s Amiri Airport.
Several senior Kuwaiti leaders were also in attendance, including the Acting Prime Minister, Defense Minister, Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, alongside the Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya.
In a symbolic gesture of goodwill and respect, a squadron of Kuwaiti fighter jets escorted the UAE President’s aircraft as it entered Kuwaiti airspace. Upon his arrival, an official reception ceremony was held at the airport. The national anthems of the UAE and Kuwait filled the air as Sheikh Mohamed stood at the podium, and he subsequently inspected the Guard of Honor and greeted senior Kuwaiti dignitaries.

- His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs
- His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court
As the President’s motorcade left the airport, Kuwaiti children, lined up along both sides of the road, waved the flags of the UAE and Kuwait, chanting words of welcome and unity. This grand display of hospitality continued at Bayan Palace, where a 21-gun salute was performed to honor Sheikh Mohamed’s arrival. Helicopters flew overhead carrying the national flags, while cavalry units and traditional performance groups showcased the cultural heritage and warmth of Kuwait’s welcome.
This state visit underscores the UAE and Kuwait’s commitment to bolstering their longstanding friendship by focusing on collaboration in pivotal areas. Discussions during the visit are expected to center on strengthening economic partnerships, enhancing investment opportunities, and promoting regional security and stability. Through these strategic engagements, the UAE and Kuwait continue to demonstrate their mutual dedication to a shared future of progress, unity, and resilience.
