UAE National Day celebration; Sharjah road to be temporarily closed on Saturday

Sharjah’s Dibba Al Hisn Road Closed for UAE National Day Celebrations

The Dibba Al Hisn Corniche Road in Sharjah will be temporarily closed on Saturday to celebrate the UAE National Day, the Emirates Police announced on Friday.

The section of the road from Diwan Al Amiri Square to Heritage Village Square will be inaccessible from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Police have urged motorists to take alternative routes during the closures.

Government employees in Sharjah will be given a five-day weekend for the upcoming UAE National Day, local authorities announced on Friday. Employees will be given paid leave on Monday, December 2, 3 and Tuesday, and will resume regular operations from Wednesday, December 4, the emirate’s Department of Human Resources said.
