UAE Sends 12 Aid Trucks to Gaza, Providing Critical Relief to 30,000 People
ABU DHABI: The UAE announced the successful entry of twelve trucks carrying 150 tons of essential aid for Palestinians in Gaza. The trucks, which entered via the Erez and Karam Abu Salem crossings, are part of one of the first humanitarian shipments to reach Gaza since October, in collaboration with the US Near East Refugee Assistance (ANERA). This latest shipment will support the needs of approximately 30,000 people.
Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, UAE Assistant Minister of State for Development Affairs, highlighted that the aid reflects the UAE’s historic commitment to aiding Palestinians. The UAE has prioritized extensive humanitarian initiatives to counter the worsening conditions in Gaza.
Commitment to Relief Efforts
Al Shamsi emphasized, “The UAE remains dedicated to supporting Palestinians through sustained land, sea, and air routes for humanitarian aid.”
To date, the UAE has delivered over 40,000 tons of aid, with ongoing efforts in partnership with the United Nations and international organizations to ensure a steady, secure supply of relief to Gaza.
