Dubai Duty Free Joins UAE Flag Day Celebrations Ahead of Official Date

Dubai Duty Free joins the nation in celebrating UAE Flag Day today (November 1), three days ahead of the actual day.

Accepting the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Duty Free Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi and Deputy Managing Director Salah Tahlak led the celebrations along with other members. An expanded Dubai Duty Free management team and representatives from both Emiratis and expatriate employees.

The ceremony, which took place in front of Dubai Duty Free’s head office in Ramool, began with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance by Dubai Duty Free Emirati employee Ali Abdulrazzaq . This was followed by the hoisting of the UAE flag along with the UAE National Anthem.

“We are proud to join many UAE companies in uniting their employees, both Emiratis and expatriates, in upholding the flag of this nation through the celebration of the UAE Flag Day,” said Cidambi.

UAE Flag Day aims to unite people living and working in the UAE and was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The national campaign was launched in November 2013 to commemorate the inauguration of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the nation’s president.
