UAE Resident Airlifted from Saudi Arabia for Life-Saving Medical Treatment
Abu Dhabi – In a coordinated humanitarian mission, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the National Guard’s National Search and Rescue Centre, successfully facilitated the emergency airlift of a UAE resident from Saudi Arabia to receive critical medical care.
While in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the patient, a male in his forties, experienced an unforeseen medical emergency. His condition required immediate advanced care after receiving initial treatment at Hafr Al-Batin Central Hospital, which led to his transfer to the Cleveland Clinic in the United Arab Emirates for specialized care.
The UAE authorities extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Saudi government for its swift and cooperative response. The UAE Ministry acknowledged, via an Instagram update on Monday, April 14, that the Saudi authorities provided essential assistance through the UAE Embassy in Riyadh, enabling the smooth execution of the evacuation.
This mission underscores the strong bilateral ties between the two nations and highlights their shared commitment to citizen welfare and cross-border medical collaboration.
