In a devastating incident, an Emirati lost his life while another individual sustained injuries after the pickup truck they were travelling in collided with a traffic sign. The accident occurred near an intersection in Ras Al Khaimah’s Shamal area, as reported by Arabic newspaper Al Khaleej.
According to Col Dr Mohammed Al Bahar, acting director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, the vehicle veered off course near the intersection before colliding with the pole.
Upon receiving the accident report, an emergency response team promptly reached the scene. Both the driver and his companion were swiftly transported to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the Emirati passenger succumbed to the severe injuries he sustained. The driver, while injured, is reported to be in stable condition.
