Dubai’s renowned cultural and entertainment extravaganza, Global Village, has thrown open its gates for its 28th season, welcoming visitors with a burst of confetti and an array of dazzling performances. Last season, the event drew in an impressive 9 million visitors, and with exciting new additions like Mini World and a mini golf area, the organizers are eager to exceed expectations this year.
Featuring 27 pavilions, over 3,500 shopping outlets, and more than 250 dining options, Global Village offers an immersive experience showcasing the rich tapestry of over 90 cultures. Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, expressed his excitement, highlighting how Global Village has been a testament to Dubai’s global entertainment and tourism prowess.
The 28th season boasts an exciting lineup of attractions, including a staggering 40,000 shows featuring world-class performers, concerts, street performances, and the thrilling ‘Cyber City Stunt Show – Powered by Surge’. The Dragon Lake will feature a mesmerizing fire and laser show, and the iconic Dallah at the Gate of the World will host never-before-seen 3D projection shows. The park will also light up with spectacular firework displays every Friday and Saturday at 9:00 pm.
For an adrenaline rush, there are over 195 rides and games at Carnaval, along with 10 new exhibits at Ripley’s Believe It or Not!® Odditorium and the region’s largest House of Fear. The introduction of Mini World, a captivating destination celebrating global cultures through miniature landmarks, adds a unique dimension to the experience.
To enhance visitor convenience, the Roads and Transport Authority has introduced a new bus route, Route 107, complementing the existing four routes from various locations. Enhanced services have been implemented across all parking zones, including expanded entrances and exits to facilitate smoother access.
With ticket options catering to various preferences, including the ‘Value’ ticket for weekday visits and the flexible ‘Any Day’ ticket, Global Village promises an unforgettable experience for all. Tickets purchased via the mobile app or website come with a 10 percent discount, making this immersive cultural journey even more accessible.
