Tragic Accident: AeroGulf Helicopter Crash Claims One Pilot’s Life

The General Civil Aviation Authority of the UAE said on Friday that one pilot was discovered deceased after an AeroGulf helicopter fell into the water on Thursday. The search and rescue efforts for a second pilot continue. Two pilots, an Egyptian and a South African, boarded the Bell 212 medium helicopter as it departed from Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai for a nighttime training exercise. The nationality of the deceased has not been verified by the authorities.
They expressed their sympathies to the pilot’s family. The GCVAA stated in a statement that the helicopter had gone down off the coast of Umm Al Quwain. The remaining pieces of the craft’s wreckage were reportedly being recovered by rescue workers.The helicopter went down around 8.07 p.m., according to AeroGulf, which verified the accident on Friday.
“The chopper was carrying out regular training exercises between an offshore oilfield and Al Maktoum International Airport. According to the firm, the helicopter was only carrying two crew members. It stated that updates would be provided as soon as new information became available. The commercial helicopter operator stated, “We are collaborating with the aviation authorities and doing everything we can to obtain information as soon as possible.
Our crew, who were on board the helicopter, as well as their families, are now in our thoughts and prayers. We will make every effort to assist individuals who have been harmed by this accident.
