Riyadh Season has announced a thrilling tennis event, the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup, featuring world-renowned players Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, and Ons Jabeur. The matches, set to take place from December 26 to 27, promise to draw tennis enthusiasts from across the globe.
The men’s match on December 27 will see Novak Djokovic, with an impressive 24 Grand Slam titles and holding the current world number one ranking, face off against the emerging talent Carlos Alcaraz, a two-time Grand Slam winner.
In the women’s match on December 26, Aryna Sabalenka, currently the top-ranked player in the world, will compete against Tunisian sensation Ons Jabeur, who has made history as the best African and Arab player in the International Tennis Federation and the Women’s Tennis Association.
Both matches will unfold at the Kingdom Arena, a cutting-edge venue constructed and equipped with state-of-the-art technology in just 60 days. With a capacity to host over 40,000 spectators, the arena is designed to accommodate international events, exemplified by its hosting of the opening night’s international boxing bout during the Riyadh Season on October 28.
