UAE-based Filipino Expats Wins Rs 2.31 Crore in Big Ticket Draw

A 36-year-old United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Filipino expat won one million dirhams (Rs 2,31,44,460) in the latest Big Ticket Abu Dhabi draw.

The winner, Christine Requerque Pedido, took home the grand prize after purchasing ticket number 055839 for draw number 270.

For the past four months, Pedido, a security guard, has been residing in Al Ain. Ten individuals who helped buy tickets, one of whom is fighting breast cancer, will split the prize money with her.

Speaking to the Big Ticket organizers, she expressed genuine excitement at winning on her first try, highlighting the unexpected nature of luck.

“We are still deciding whether to save the prize money or invest it in the business. Either way, we will continue to work hard and try our luck with more Big Ticket entries. We are already looking forward to the January 3 live draw!” He has a simple message for other Big Ticket participants: “Stay positive and take a chance.”

In addition to four additional millionaire winners through weekly e-draws, the Big Ticket draw has announced a guaranteed reward of Dh30 million (Rs. 69,43,77,600) for the month of December.

UAE citizens can buy two tickets for Dh1,000 (Rs. 23,145) to automatically win the draw on January 1, 2025, and they can win cash prizes ranging from Dh20,000 (Rs. 4,62,918) to Dh150,000 (Rs. 34,71,888).

Additionally, a Maserati Greyscale is given away to participants in the “Dream Car” giveaway.
