Kumar nominated by UAE Embassy in India, officially receives Golden Visa Tuesday

Super 30 founder Anand Kumar has joined an exclusive group of Indian celebrities, including Bollywood stalwarts Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt, in being awarded the prestigious ‘Golden Visa’ by the United Arab Emirates government. Launched in 2019, the Golden Visa offers extended residency privileges, granting individuals the autonomy to live, work, and study in the UAE.
Anand Kumar’s nomination for the Golden Visa emanated from the UAE Embassy in India, culminating in the official presentation of the visa on Tuesday. This recognition not only constitutes a personal triumph for Kumar but also signifies a notable deviation within the academic sector. Traditionally dominated by Bollywood and sports icons like Sania Mirza, Boney Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Kamal Haasan, along with their family members, the inclusion of Anand Kumar underscores the expanding spheres of acknowledgment.
The Golden Visa, typically reserved for luminaries in the realms of science, knowledge, culture, and art, serves as a testament to Kumar’s impactful contributions to the field of education. Expressing his gratitude, Kumar remarked, “It is an honor to receive the Golden Visa. I am thankful to the authorities for this.”
An esteemed Mathematics educator, Kumar established the Super 30 program in Patna in 2002, gaining acclaim for coaching underprivileged students for the JEE-Main & JEE-Advanced, the entrance examinations for the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). His unwavering dedication has garnered global recognition; Kumar was featured in Time magazine’s list of Best of Asia 2010. In 2023, he received the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award from the Government of India, acknowledging his exceptional contributions to literature and education.
In recognition of his extensive work in education, Kumar has been extended an invitation to personally receive this esteemed honor in the UAE. This underscores not only the international recognition of his contributions but also the broader impact of his Super 30 initiative in shaping the educational landscape for underprivileged students
