Air India and Air India Express Appoint dnata as GSA in UAE, Boosting Regional Reach and Customer Access
Dubai, UAE – Air India and its low-cost subsidiary Air India Express have appointed dnata as their General Sales Agent (GSA) across the UAE, excluding Abu Dhabi and Al Ain for Air India. The purpose of this strategic partnership is to improve the airlines’ visibility and customer interaction in one of their most important foreign markets.
In order to provide localized knowledge and market access to better serve passengers and business partners, DNATA will manage sales, marketing, and distribution assistance for both carriers under the terms of the agreement. The action is in line with the Air India Group’s larger Gulf expansion plan, specifically with regard to improving connectivity and service delivery for the sizable Indian diaspora and the increasing number of tourists.
Currently, Air India has 82 weekly flights from India to several locations in the United Arab Emirates.Meanwhile, Air India Express runs over 240 weekly services across five UAE cities—Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain—highlighting the country’s significance as the airline’s largest international market.
