Swiss National Wins $1 Million in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Draw at Dubai Airshow
Hugo Truetsch, a 65-year-old Swiss national residing in Zug, Switzerland, has become the latest winner of $1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw. The draw took place at the Dubai Airshow site in Dubai World Central. Truetsch, who serves as a director for an asset management company, purchased the winning ticket (number 3625) online on October 31. This marks his fourth participation in the Dubai Duty-Free promotion over the past decade.
Expressing his gratitude, Truetsch stated, “I love participating in your promotion, and it’s one of the best. Thank you, Dubai Duty Free; you have made my day!”
The draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free officials, including Chief Operating Officer Ramesh Cidambi. Truetsch’s win is notable as he is the fourth Swiss national to secure $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire promotion since its inception in 1999.
In addition to the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was held for a luxury car, which was a BMW 740i M Sport (Dravit Grey Metallic). The winner, Abdulaziz Alshareef, a 36-year-old Saudi Arabian based in Riyadh, purchased the winning ticket (number 0099) online on November 3. Alshareef, who works for the Saudi government, expressed his gratitude to Dubai Duty Free, encouraging others to participate in the promotion.
The Dubai Duty Free promotion at the Dubai Airshow features a total of four luxury vehicles, and tickets for these draws are available for purchase at Dubai Duty Free counters and shops throughout the airshow. The remaining luxury vehicles include a Mercedes Benz G 63 (Polar White) car and an Indian FTR R Carbon (Black Carbon Fiber) motorbike. The draws will take place over four days, concluding on November 17.
