Sheikh Mohammed’s children’s book launched in a Special Way

The Journey From the Desert to the Stars, written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was published, according to the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO).

The launch was held on the International Space Station (ISS), which was an unusual occurrence and a suitable setting for the launch given the book’s recurring theme of the UAE’s rise from humble origins to celestial heights. In honor of the event, Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi recited a few excerpts from the book.

The book’s five stories together provide a moving recollection of significant turning points in the UAE’s extraordinary growth path. The anecdotes demonstrate how the achievements of the country align with His Highness’ belief that tenacity is the secret to success. His Highness also shares a wealth of knowledge with young readers in the book, sharing the priceless lessons he learned from the various experiences he had as a kid and young adult that influenced his view on life and morals.

Her Excellency said that the book demonstrates His Highness’ steadfast dedication to inspiring a love of reading in the next generation. Many of his projects, most notably the “Arab Reading Challenge,” which attracts millions of enthusiastic young readers from the area and throughout the world, serve as examples of his commitment for encouraging the reading habit, she added. The publication of the book onboard the International Space Station, according to Al Marri, is a testament to the realization of the UAE President’s and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s goal for space exploration.
