Sharjah to Introduce Standardised Testing in Private Schools to Boost Education Quality

Sharjah is to develop and implement standardized tests for its private schools, the emirate’s education regulator said on Wednesday.

Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) will work with Diglossia to exchange expertise, information and reports as part of the project. The two institutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines an action plan aimed at achieving the emirate’s educational goals.

SPEA will liaise with licensed schools to ensure that all data necessary to implement standardized tests is shared with Diglossia.

Encouraging schools to participate in these examinations will contribute to raising the quality of education in these institutions.

Diglossia, on the other hand, will share with SPEA data and information related to exam results, as well as analysis of standardized tests conducted by schools.

The assessment solutions provider will ensure the reliability of the shared data and contribute to the development of plans to improve school performance based on the results of the tests.

The initiative is regarded as a significant step in enhancing the quality of education in the United Arab Emirates and the abilities of students attending private schools.
