Saudi Arabia Bans Release of ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’: Reports
Ajay Devgn and Kartik Aaryan's films face censorship due to controversial themes, including religious references and LGBTQ+ content.
The government of Saudi Arabia has reportedly banned Ajay Devgan’s opener Singam Again and Karthik Aaryan’s Bool Bhulaiyya 3 due to references to religious themes, mythology and homosexuality.
However, no official announcement has yet been made by the Saudi Arabian government.
Both these films will be releasing worldwide on Friday, November 1, coinciding with the festival of Diwali.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Rohit Shetty’s Singam Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranveer Singh, has been banned due to Ramayana references and Hindu-Muslim conflict, and has refused to screen the film. For its controversial nature.
The film has a stellar cast including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff.
On the other hand, Anees Bazmee’s Bool Phulaiya 3 has been banned due to its depiction of homosexuality.
The film stars Karthik Aryan in the lead role, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit in pivotal roles.
Apart from Saudi Arabia, Singam Again will not be released in Singapore.
