Ruler of Ajman Orders Release of 143 Prisoners Ahead of Union Day

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has issued a directive to release 143 prisoners from punitive and correctional institutions in Ajman in anticipation of the 52nd Union Day.

  1. Number of Prisoners: A total of 143 inmates, representing various nationalities, have been selected for release based on their good conduct and behavior.
  2. Reason for Release: The decision reflects the Ruler of Ajman’s commitment to giving prisoners an opportunity for a fresh start and aims to bring joy to their families.

The move is aligned with the ruler’s vision to provide pardoned prisoners with a chance to rejoin their families and reintegrate positively into society.Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, expressed gratitude to the Ruler of Ajman for the compassionate gesture. He hopes that the released individuals will seize the opportunity to rebuild their lives.This act of clemency aligns with the broader amnesty initiative, as His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has also ordered the release of 1,018 inmates across the country who meet the amnesty conditions.

The release of prisoners ahead of Union Day reflects the commitment to providing individuals with a chance for rehabilitation and reintegration into society, promoting compassion and second chances.
