Oman Authorities Arrest Smugglers Attempting to Traffic Drugs

The Coast Guard Police in Dhofar Governorate, Oman, have arrested five individual smugglers of Arab nationality attempting to smuggle over 1,000 packages of the drug Khat. This follows a recent announcement by the Royal Oman Police stating that Coast Guard Police in South Al Batinah Governorate arrested two individuals of Asian nationality for smuggling over 45 kilograms of hashish and 14 kilograms of crystal meth, coupled with illegal entry into the country. Legal procedures against the accused are currently underway in both cases.
