LuLu Group Chairman Affirms Strong UAE-India Relationship, Emphasizes Growing Investments
Yusuff Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of the LuLu Group, underscored the robust relationship between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India, highlighting substantial investments and burgeoning trade ties between the two nations. Speaking on the subject of UAE-India trade, he emphasized the mutual growth experienced by both countries.
Ali pointed out the significant imports that UAE receives from India, coupled with the export of petroleum products and by-products from UAE to India, forming the cornerstone of their economic cooperation. He further emphasized the substantial investments made by the UAE in India, affirming the strengthening bond between the two nations.
Reflecting on the evolving closeness between India and the UAE, Ali cited the numerous visits of Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reciprocal visits to the UAE. He highlighted the personal rapport shared by the leaders, which, combined with bilateral commercial and investment ventures, is propelling the relationship forward.
During a meeting with prominent business leaders from India and the UAE, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Chamber, Ali commended India’s status as an emerging global power under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He described India as one of the world’s most robust economies.
Ali emphasized that both nations are unified by their common objectives of peace, stability, and economic prosperity. He also highlighted the integral role played by 3.54 million Indians in driving the UAE’s economic development and societal progress, emphasizing their contributions with dignity and respect.
